We have previously spoken about how normal it is to wake up in the middle of the night, but the thing is, it should be a natural waking up process. However, how does it actually feel to wake up at the same time of the night every night and not feel good?

So, this is about a thing called a Body Clock or Chinese Organ, and it may be able to tell you what is wrong with your body. The Chinese Organ Body Clock is something that works on the premise of tai chi or qi moves through the body at different times during the entire day.

At certain times in the day, the chi moves from one organ to another in the body in order to give it strength and restore it. This is a system that takes 24 hours to complete and usually sticks for about two hours with every organ.

So, if there is any blockage that will hinder the flow of energy from one organ to another or from one system to another, this is a blockage that will wake you up at night. The problems concerning physical, emotional and mental problems can all create blockages, and knowing what might be wrong with you can help you get better in no time.

If you have difficulties falling asleep between the hours of 9 and 11 pm – during this time, the vessels and the arteries are those who are active, so this means that any problems associated with the thyroid, the immune system, adrenals or metabolism could be the thing that is keeping you awake.

Paranoia, stress or confusion could also be the cause of you not getting enough sleep. If you happen to find this to be the case, do a bedtime yoga before sleeping, or some meditation, or just repeat some calming mantras.

Wake up between 11 pm and 1 am – this is a time which is associated with your gallbladder. This is a part of the body that works to break down all the fat you’ve been consuming during the day.

So, if you wake up during this time of the night it means you absolutely have to switch to a diet which is filled with healthy fats and less fats. On the other hand, if you are experiencing some resentment or judgement towards yourself or towards other people, this may be the thing that is keeping you up at this time of night as well.

This is why it is very important to let go of all the mistakes from the past and push the resentment out of your body. Acceptance and forgiveness are very important.

Wake up between 1 am and 3 am – during this time of the night, the liver is being cleansed, so giving the fact that we are all aware of the importance of the liver to the body, waking up at this time of the night means that the liver has  too much work and cannot deal with all the toxins that come its way.

Reducing the alcohol and fixing your dieting plan will help with these issues. Also, some feelings which are associated with this time are rage, anger and guilt.

Any excess of any of these feelings will cause you to wake up. It is important to relieve yourself from these negative feelings, not just to get a good night of sleep but also to try and see clearly in any troubling situation.

Wake up between 3 am and 5 am – this is the time when the lungs collect more oxygen to move to the other systems in order to prepare for the work they have the following day. It is also the time when they remove all the toxins which may be present in the body.

If you wake up during this time of the night, especially if you are coughing, you should consume healthier foods and breathe a fresh air. This is a time which is also associated with grief and sadness, and waking up at this time of the night means that you are troubled with something and it makes you feel depressed.

If you have these feelings, it is important to embrace them, grieve for an appropriate amount and then move on with your life.

Wake up between 5 am and 7 am, and feeling sick this time of the night – this is the high time for the large intestine to get their share of cleansing. This makes up a perfect sense because we experience bowel movements at that time.

If you want to encourage this process, drink plenty of water. Emotionally, this is the time when we feel stuck, defensive, or impatient about lack of movement and growth in our lives. This is the perfect time to implement some morning mantras in your life.
