  1. Sugar

As good as those chocolate bars, donuts and other sweets look, you will need to resist if you suffer from this condition. Cytokines are inflammatory messengers triggered by processed sugars. Candy, sodas and cereals are rich in this sugar. Excess sugar fill lead to weight gain which can put pressure on the joints.

  1. Monosodium glutamate

MSG or monosodium glutamate is a flavor- enhancing additive that is commonly found in Asian foods and soy sauce. Fast foods, prepared soups and mixes, can also contain monosodium glutamate. This component can worsen joint pain.

  1. Alcohol

Excessive alcohol consumption isn’t only bad for your liver. Beer contains purines, which are converted into uric acid and can be extremely detrimental to joint pain. Also harmful to fragile joints is gluten, a compound in beer.

  1. Refined carbohydrates

Many cereals, white potatoes, breads, crackers and white rice are white flour products and also refined carbohydrates. These foods are high in glycemic and they can stimulate inflammation.
