Ginger Is Effective in Destroying Ovarian, Colon and Prostate Cancer Cells
The ginger has been used in the alternative medicine for centuries. Due to its powerful medicinal properties, this root has an ability to treat numerous health conditions and diseases.
According to the findings of a study, published in the Journal of Food and Chemical Toxicology, the ginger root contains gingerol and UV protection ingredients that provide a wide range of anticancer compounds.
Various other studies have proved that this root can successfully destroy ovarian, colon, and prostate cancer cells.
The ability of the ginger to prevent and treat these types of cancerous diseases is confirmed to be even more effective than chemotherapy since this root provides completely natural and less invasive treatment that cannot cause any side effects.
This means that the ginger can destroy ovarian, colon and prostate cancer cells without affecting the healthy ones.
Ginger and Ovarian Cancer
BMC Complementary and Alternative Medicine recently published a study which found out that the active ingredients in the ginger root contain anti-angiogenic properties that can inhibit the growth of cancer cells.
The ginger was proven to be effective in preventing and treating ovarian cancer.
A number of researchers from the University of Michigan concluded that the ginger effectively kills ovarian cancer cells and that, unlike in the case of chemotherapy, the cancer cells don’t become resistant to this kind of therapy.
The ginger is proven to be more useful in treating ovarian cancer than chemotherapy because it is less toxic, it bears no drug resistance, and it has fewer side effects.
Ginger and Colon Cancer
In 2003, researchers at the Frontiers in Cancer Research Prevention Conference have provided significant evidence that the ginger is helpful in protecting against colon cancer.
A study, published in the Journal of Nutrition in 2015, showed that, apart from being efficient in preventing a development of colon cancer, this root is also beneficial for destroying existing colon cancer cells.
This makes the ginger root one of the best therapeutic options for the colorectal cancer patients.
Ginger and Prostate Cancer
The British Journal of Nutrition published a U.S. study which discovered that a daily intake of 100 mg of ginger extract per kg of body weight can prevent the spreading of prostate cancer cells in humans.
The results of the study also showed that the ginger extract reduced the prostate cancer growth in 56% of the subjects.
According to the researchers, a consumption of 100g of fresh ginger on a daily basis will provide the exact same results in an adult whose weight is 70kg.
The study also proved that while the chemotherapy has a negative impact on the body’s healthy cells, the ginger doesn’t affect any other cells in the human body, like bones or stomach cells.
